Outdoor Airgun Challenge
Hi Everyone:
The TRGC Airgun Committee is excited to announce our first outdoor airgun event: Outdoor Airgun Challenge!
Here is the scheduling info.:
-
TIME: Saturday, June 27, 10am – 12pm
-
LOCATION: TRGC Black Powder Range
What to expect:
Event
The Black Powder Range will be transformed into an airgun target range to challenge your airgunning skills at various distances using a wide range of reactive and fun targets! This is a personal challenge for each shooter and not a competition. Each shooter can choose the activity they want as they progress through the program; there is no obligation to do everything!
Materials/Equipment
Everything will be provided including the guns and pellets. For safety reasons (reduced ricochet), only lead pellets will be used at this event, and hearing protection must be provided by each shooter.
If a shooter has his/her own .177 caliber gun and would prefer to use that, you are welcome to do so; however, you will still be required to use the pellets provided by the program. (NOTE: The maximum caliber allowed at this event is .177.) You will need to specify that you will provide your own gun, and the type of gun, when you register.
Cost
$5 per shooter. Yup, that’s it!
Registration
To ensure the safety of all participants and spectators:
- All shooters must have completed at least the TRGC Introduction to Airguns course. This is a critical safety requirement to ensure that each participant is familiar with airgun safety and handling protocols and has received gun safety training.
- This program is limited to a maximum of 12 participants (shooters), and registration is first come first served.
- A minimum of 6 participants is required to offer this program. If the minimum is not reached, then the program will need to be canceled. Should this occur, an email will be sent informing the membership of this development.
Registration is required! This is important so that we can ensure all necessary equipment is properly prepared for each registered shooter. To register, please contact the committee chairperson using the contact data shown below.
Spectators
Spectators are encouraged and will have their own dedicated area from which to watch the event. There is no cost to watch.
Safety
As always, safety is our #1 priority!
