How to join:

 FOR ALL APPLICANTS:   See "Which application should be used below?"    to determine which application to use.

 In order to become a member of the club, all of the following steps must be completed. There is no club membership until all these steps have          been completed.       

a. If applying as "Member and Married Spouse Membership," the spouse MUST ALSO fill out the "Married Spouse Supplement

Application (free)" application as well.

b. Your membership dues and application fees MUST be paid PRIOR to the day of the Membership meeting NOT the day of the membership                      meeting.

c.      FIRST, you  (and your spouse if applying as "Member and Married Spouse" membership), MUST be sponsored by a club member.

d.      SECOND, you, the sponsor and your spouse (if applicable) MUST then attend a BOD interview next.

e. THIRD, you, the sponsor and your spouse (if applicable) MUST then attend a club membership meeting to be voted in.

f.      FOURTH, you  and your spouse (if applicable) MUST attend a MANDATORY BOD led orientation and receive gate cards.  You cannot                                become  a club member without this BOD led orientation!

     

SPONSOR:  You MUST have a club member in good standing as a sponsor for club membership. If you don’t personally know a club member to sponsor you, we suggest you attend archery, fishing or shooting events, or attend club meetings, to meet members who may eventually sponsor you.

BOD INTERVIEW:  The applicant, and  sponsor,  and the spouse (if a Member and Married Spouse (MMS) application),  MUST ALL attend a BOD meeting (usually at 6 p.m. on the third Monday of the month)  for an interview and to verify completeness and accuracy of your application(s).  Check the  WWW.TRGC.CLUB   CALENDAR to verify.

MEMBERSHIP MEETING:  Following the BOD interview, you, the sponsor and spouse (if a Member and Married Spouse (MMS) application) MUST ALL attend a membership meeting for approval.  (Usually at 7 p.m.  on the first Monday of the month unless a national holiday, delaying it a week.)   Check the  WWW.TRGC.CLUB   CALENDAR to verify.

ORIENTATION:  The applicant (and spouse if MMS application) MUST attend a BOD  led orientation in order to receive their gate access card.  It is not required that the sponsor attend the orientation with the applicants. This is usually the Sunday after the Membership Meeting and a photo ID is required to be given  the card.  You cannot become a member of the club without attending an orientation!

Which application should be used below?

1.     INDIVIDUAL:  A individual applicant fills out the INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP  application below.

2.     MEMBER and MARRIED SPOUSE:

a.     This is for LEGALLY MARRIED (Per M.G.L) couples only.

b.     The one member fills out the “MEMBER AND MARRIED SPOUSE MEMBERSHIP application below.

c.     Their spouse fills out and submits the “MARRIED SPOUSE SUPPLEMENT APPLICATION" found below. There is no charge for this application,                   and there is no difference in memberships between the primary member and spouse.  This is administrative only.

3.     STUDENT:  This is for full time students no older than 23 years old at time of application.

a.   TWO forms of proof must be submitted with the application and each renewal:  a copy of their college ID, and PROOF that they are FULL                      TIME students (e.g. a copy of their class schedule).

b.  This is for one year only, and must be repeated each year they qualify for student membership.

4.     Check the  club CALENDAR for both BoD and general membership meeting dates. The gate is open during these events, so come on down! 

Membership FAQ: 

Q: Are children allowed a the Club?

Yes! We are a family oriented Club. Children under 18 of Members at any level are welcome at the Club at any time and for any event. Children must be supervised at all times by a club Member. No exceptions.

Once children reach age 18, they can become Student or Full members and receive their own gate cards.

Q: What is the BoD interview for?

The interview is for prospective members and is to meet the applicants and sponsor and verify the completeness and accuracy of the information in their application(s) . They may ask about your interests in the Club, and answer any questions you may have.

Q: I want to pay with Cash or Check. How do I do that?

It is greatly encouraged to pay with a credit or debit card at time of application. The dues and fees must be paid prior to the day of the membership meeting, we will not accept checks at the membership meeting. If you must pay by check, mail it to TRGC PO Box 289 Townsend, MA 01469-0289 in time to be received prior to the membership meeting.

Q: I'm already a member how do I get a gate card for my spouse?

See section III.4.8 of the club’s bylaws.

Q: I'd like to join the club but I don't have a sponsor?

Many club events are open to the public including fishing derbies, archery, black powder and trap shooting. Come on down and meet a few members and ask to be sponsored. Check the calendar for these events.
